Below is a sample of our repertoire. This is of course just a small selection of a wide catalogue of individual, high quality arrangements that we are able to offer. A lot of the numbers listed below have been arranged by members of the Big Band, and are available as printed copies - Again please email for details.
- AVENUE C (By Buck Clayton, as performed by the Count Basie Orchestra)
- Basie’s classic high energy swing opener, performed as the original.
- CRAZY TRAIN (As used in The Osbournes)
- An original arrangement of the song that rose to fame through its use on the Sky TV show.
- INDIANA
- Classic swing, performed as the original.
- FLY ME TO THE MOON (As performed by Bobby Darin)
- This classic song has been faithfully transcribed, and contains much of the familiar original material. Guaranteed to get your foot tapping!
- WITCHCRAFT (As performed by Frank Sinatra)
- This beautiful song is again transcribed from the original.
- I LEFT MY HEART IN SAN FRANCISCO (As performed by the Neal Hefti Orchestra)
- This classic number has been used countless times since its composition, and is a fine example of just how versatile a big band can be.
- IF I ONLY HAD A BRAIN (From the Wizard of Oz)
- A modern take on Harold Arlen’s classic from the film. This charming sax feature is from the catalogue of pieces arranged by members of the band, and demonstrates the wealth of talent available.
- ROUTE 66
- A memorable swing tune with our own modern twist
- WOODCHOPPERS BALL
- Fast and furious, with enormous energy, this classic tune will have you dancing in the aisles.
- SOUL BOSSA NOVA
- One of Quincy Jones’ most famous compositions, transcribed according to the original. This number was made famous by the Austin Powers films, and is recreated with fantastic energy.
- GOT TO GET YOU OFF MY MIND
- This Soul tune comes from Solomon Burke, the founder of soul, who penned the song Everybody needs somebody to love, as used in the Blues Brothers films. Got to Get You Off My Mind is a tribute to the soul music of America’s deep south, in true Big Band style.
- MERCY MERCY (As performed by the Buddy Rich Orchestra)
- This funk arrangement again shows the versatility of a Big Band, combining classic jazz features with unusual harmonies, and a melody you will be humming all the way home.
